Please allow Tad Coffin Performance Saddles to assist you in obtaining the right fit.
When sizing, it is helpful for us to receive a photograph of the rider in the saddle. The photo should include the entirety of the horse and the rider in profile. The horse should be standing square and the rider mounted as shown. After evaluating the photograph, we will contact you to discuss sizing.
The saddle should feel balanced and supportive, allowing the rider to move, uninhibited, between various postures of forward seat and deep seat.
The bone on the inside of the rider’s knee should rest on the lower 1/2 -1/3 of the knee pad and place the rider’s knee cap close to the front edge of the flap.
The saddle seat size allows sufficient room so that the rider’s seat ends prior to the rise of the cantle.
The bottom of the flap should end 1/3 – 1/2 of the way down the rider’s calf.
